Busy Mom To My Three Men

I am a mom to three fantastic yet exhausting boys. Not a moment goes by that they say or do something that I say to myself I must remember to write that down. So, here I'll share their funny stories and my crazy life. I think I strive on chaos (thus explains my house most of the time.)

Memorial Day Weekend-Take II

I did a whole blog, complete with pictures and all, and when I went to publish it it disappeared. (Remind me to copy before publishing from now on so I can just paste if blogworld and the blog-powers-to be decide to eat my blog again.)
We went to the lakehouse for Memorial Day weekend. My mom and dad and brother and his family were all up there as well. We finally caught fish in the lake!!!! We were convinced that the fish my dad swore he saw jumping in the lake when he was buying the house were all planted there. Kind of like the running deer in Funny Farm.(if you haven't seen it-rent it. It is one of my all time favorites.) So we did catch fish though I must fess up though that it was the same darn fish half the time. There was a female bass that kept on hiding under a log about ten feet from shore and she would keep on getting herself caught and then swimming back to the same spot. We nicknamed her Mabel and figured she must be getting ready to lay eggs and after Mabel got herself caught about 5 times we put a ban on anymore Mabel catching. Tyler caught a huge bass which shocks the heck out of me because he wasn't very patient and kept pulling his line in.
Owen caught the smallest sunny I have every seen but he was still pretty pleased with himself. Andrew enjoyed hanging out with Pop Pop and being his "fishing buddy."

Owen had sent Flat Stanley to his cousin, Keith Jr. in VA for school and once again my brother proved why he is the family procrastinator. They had taken Flat Stanley to the White House and a whole bunch of cool places but his hard drive with all the pictures in it crashed so we had to do a quick Flat Stanley "photo shoot" at the lakehouse. So Flat Stanley went out on the paddle boat and joined us around the campfire for some s'mores.

I remember doing Flat Stanley for Jenn's son. We took him all over the place! We had a blast!

So, do you ever visit that brother in VA? hint, hint...
