Busy Mom To My Three Men

I am a mom to three fantastic yet exhausting boys. Not a moment goes by that they say or do something that I say to myself I must remember to write that down. So, here I'll share their funny stories and my crazy life. I think I strive on chaos (thus explains my house most of the time.)

Hands Off! She's My Sitter.

(Here you go Heather-hope you are feeling well!)So I finally found a wonderful sitter for my boys. Yes, I usually use family to watch the kids. (Hey, they're free!) But seeing as where mom and dad have the lakehouse now-my babysitter options have greatly diminished. I asked around Andrew's daycare and found out that his favorite teacher babysits. She is a teenage girl who is commuting to college. He loves her and calls her, "MYMISSJESSICA". Well, let me tell you, the cost for a babysitter has greatly increased since my babysitting days many moons ago. (10.00 an hour certainly isn't cheap.) But I have to say the kids love her, she makes them pick up afterwards and I feel comfortable with her watching the kids. She even dog sat for us over the weekend and brushed the dogs and then swiffered the floor afterwards!!!!!So, I was talking to my friend who has kids that use the same daycare and she has been using a sitter from the daycare for the last three years. It is another girl who used to work there and goes to school. Well, her schedule has become a little bit more busy as she has been interning as a student teacher. So, I was talking to my friend and she said, "Yupp, Jessica babysat last night for us and is watching the baby this morning because Christina is watching the kids on Thursday." I have to say, I wanted to scream..."NO....MYMISSJESSICA!" I teased her and said that she as her own babysitter and Jessica is mine but I wouldn't really be teasing. It stinks that I mentioned how great of a sitter she was because now I have to share her. Maybe I should've said she is terrible and ignores the kids and leaves a mess and runs up long distance phone calls. Now that I think of it, I should've done that. It reminds me of the episode of Desperate Housewives where Lynette is trying to steal somebody's nanny from them.I better go look at my calendar so I can make sure to reserve Jess before anyone else does.
