Busy Mom To My Three Men

I am a mom to three fantastic yet exhausting boys. Not a moment goes by that they say or do something that I say to myself I must remember to write that down. So, here I'll share their funny stories and my crazy life. I think I strive on chaos (thus explains my house most of the time.)

Cool Birthday Presents For Mom..ooops...I Mean, Tyler!

So, I need to tell you all about the really neat gifts I got Ty for his birthday. For Christmas Tyler decided he wanted Dance, Dance Revolution Mario Mix for his Gamecube. Well, I couldn't justify spending another 149.00 on top of what I already spent on him so I figured I would wait for his birthday. Well, after Christmas Nintendo pulled them all off the shelves. Turns out that it cost them more to manufacture this than they were making so they had to redesign them and make them cheaper. Tyler was so bummed. We heard they would be back in the stores some time in the Spring. Well, I found a woman on EBAY that had 6 for sale. What Mom will go through to make her son happy.LOL Well, I ordered him one and it came in time for his birthday. The look on his face was priceless when he opened it and he kept on saying "But you can't get this anywhere."
It is a good thing we got a second dance mat so he and Owen (or mom) can play together. It is actually really fun and if it gets my couch potato son up and moving-then I LOVE IT!!! The only problem is trying to keep a 2 year old off the pad while you are trying to play. Somebody needs to create a mock toddler-sized one for him. It is really neat and has different modes. One is a story mode where you need to accomplish certain tasks and find the hidden keys. You can unlock new songs to dance to this way. There is also an exercise mode. I have to give this game two thumbs up and I am sure we will all have fun making dancing fools out of ourselves.

The next neat gift we got Ty was an electronic version of the good old game 20 questions called 20Q. You think of an object and the computer asks you "yes" or "no" questions and will try to figure out what you are thinking of. This thing is amazing. I guessed 4 items and it figured them out each time. (A teddy bear, a clock, a cell phone and a dolphin.) This is really cool and I determined to stump the computer-smarty pants.
So, all in all I did pretty good gift buying this year. He got a few other things including the long awaited Heeleys (which will be another whole blog).

So *THAT* is why I couldn't find one to get for James! I didn't know they were pulled, just thought they were terribly popular. We wound up getting a different DDR for the PS2, man that is one tough workout! Good job on the gifts!!
