Happy Birthday Tyler

Wow, who would believe that today you turn 9. Yes that makes Mommy feel really old. You are our first child. The one who we learned every step of parenting with. If you ask us...you turned out pretty darn good.
You have an empathetic quality to you that most people can only hope to have. You always know when someone needs an extra little hug or when someone just needs some quiet time. Though, you have reached the age of telling your parents "I love you" is not cool-you know just the right times to say those magic words and make our hearts aglow.
You are bright beyond your years. Everything seems to come easy for you and your brain just loves absorbing knowledge. Who would've ever thought you would love math as much as you do...it certainly wasn't my favorite or best subject.
Your constant love of performing has certainly kept us on our toes. Don't let anyone ever try to discourage you from your passion of singing and acting. If it is in your heart than you follow it. Sports may not be your thing as your father and I have realized but you have other dreams to pursue and we will be there anyway we can to help you reach them.
Your brothers are very lucky to have you for a big brother and someone to look up to. I hope one day they realize just how lucky they are. I sit in awe and watch as you play with your youngest brother. With such patience and fun-loving you amuse him like no one else can at times. So, on your birthday-the day you came into our life-know that we couldn't be happier or more proud of the boy you have become.
