The Money Pit Strikes Again.
Uggghh! The joys of being a homeowner. After a terrible nights sleep last night because Andrew kept me awake with all his coughing I was awoken to "Oh sh#t!!!" from downstairs. Well, I know Tyler and Owen know better than to use this language, unfortunately their daddy doesn't. So, half awake I stumbled downstairs to find the basement door open. It is never a good sign when the basement door is open and obscenities are being shouted from below. Come to find out that the original septic pipe from the boys' bathroom burst in TWO spots!!! I don't quite understand how this pipe cracked. The thing is almost a foot in diameter but it is the original plumbing from the house which was built in 1947. I swear, if it isn't one thing... it is another!!!! After having to replace one of the furnaces in November I was really hoping for a break this year. Yeah right!!! Luckily we do have two other bathrooms in the house and two other showers/tubs as well so if we need to push this project off awhile we can. (Say to after we get back our tax return.-there goes next year's trip to Disney) Jeff's brother is going to swing by after work and see if this is a project that the two of them can tackle. Let's hope!!!
The boys both have acting classes today after school. Owen is too funny. He said it can snow on any other day of the school week except Wednesday because he doesn't want to miss acting class. He really loves these classes http://www.performingartsprograms.biz/ and to him Michael Sayers is just about the coolest guy alive cause he does all types of neat voices and has been a ringmaster in a circus too. Of course, Owen doesn't mind if it snows on Tuesday though because then religion classes will be cancelled and that is okay with him.
More "me time" for me tonight. Geez, two nights in a row...I could get used to this. Last night was a Pampered Chef party where I have to say the consultant was the worst consultant I have ever seen. She didn't bring a lot of product and the product she did bring she said how terrible it was. Yeah, she made me really want to buy those items. I did however spend way too much money on stuff I really don't need. Tonight is my NNSO meeting and once again need to go beg people to chair committees for the craft show. Maybe they'll get tired of me begging and just give in and sign up. Tonight is chocolate night at the meeting and I heard there is going to be a chocolate fountain...yummy. I think I may have to skip dinner tonight. This way I won't feel too bad indulging in chocolate.
