Busy Mom To My Three Men

I am a mom to three fantastic yet exhausting boys. Not a moment goes by that they say or do something that I say to myself I must remember to write that down. So, here I'll share their funny stories and my crazy life. I think I strive on chaos (thus explains my house most of the time.)

What is it they say about New England Weather??

If you don't like, wait a minute it's bound to change. Sure enough that held true this weekend. Sunday was such a gorgeous day in the 40s (tempting us with signs of Spring) and the ground was nice and frozen (not a muddy mess yet) so the kids went outside to play with Jeff. Owen was dying to get out there and throw any form of ball around that he could find. I think at times he may have been even trying to catch the football with his ball glove. He came in huffing and puffing and told me that he isn't playing t-ball this year because he is horrible. I had to convince him that he is a great ball player....Just a bit rusty. Sure enough an hour later he came back inside and told me, "You were right mom. I got it back." Andrew loved running around outside and sliding down the slides. He gave up trying to ride in the pushcar once he saw the water inside. This surprised me because if they are anything like their mom was as a child, if there is water...It is meant to be played in. Well, Monday morning we awoke to the ground being covered again with that beautiful white covering. Guess Winter wasn't giving up this easily. So, once again another Monday home from school. UUUUUGGGHH.

The beautiful weather was Mother Nature's way of messing with us. So, all three boys stayed home on Monday. Couldn't see the point in sending Andrew to daycare when I was home with the boys. Though I am sure the day would've been much more productive had he gone. I did manage to get a second coat of polyeurethine on the new toybox bench, rocking chair and the bookcase Jeff got me for Christmas. Somehow I also managed to get polyeurethine in my hair too. I tried brushing it about but to no avail. So I had to resort to using paint thinner on my hair. Hey, why not!!! I have used just about everything else on my hair; referring to the very bad hair coloring experience before Christmas. So what if I smelt like paint thinner for the rest of the day.
So, my sister got my mom a MOMS daily calendar for her birthday and my mom keep sharing all the funny stories with me that she thinks I would find appropriate and relating somehow to my boys...so far there have been an awful lot. Don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Here's today....
A Mommy Momment
"Boys, come here! I want to speak to both of you!" yelled Kim. Her sons Aaron, fourteen, and Justin, twelve, who were in their upstairs bedroom, had a feeling they were in trouble, based on the sound of their mother's voice. When they arrived in the kitchen, Kim led them to the window and pointed to the yellow snow outside. "Need I say more?" she asked. Aaron explained, "Well, it's just too far to go to the bathroom from our bedroom, so we took the screen off our window and used the backyard instead." **Gee, the names Tyler and Owen can be respectively inserted here.**
